EVERY WEEK, ONE Gogglebox Ireland ‘family’ is guaranteed to delight: The Cabra Girls.
If you’re not already familiar with their backstory, here’s the scéal – Jamie, Lindsay, Ashley and Gráinne have known each other since they were kids, but still get together on Friday nights to watch TV and have a glass of wine.
And a significant portion of viewers would like to join them:
How do we love ye, Cabra Girls? Let us count the ways.
They’re not at all afraid to tell it like it is
The unfiltered chats! It feels like you’re right there in the living room with them.
And are a perfect example of the tight bond a group of Irish girls can have
If you have a gang of gal mates, you’ll know. The slagging and the laughter never ends.
They might not always be up to date on their pop culture references
Be it Samuel L Jackson’s character in Pulp Fiction:
Or certain sexual preferences:
Isn’t that half the fun, though?
But they are the only political commentators we want to hear from, TBH
Look at their “Donald Trump is on the telly” faces.
The Cabra girls would sort all the lads in the Dáil out, sharpish.
They’re pretty much our own version of Loose Women
They’ll happily share who on TV is giving them “flutters, butterflies and tingles”. (Donal Skehan, obv.)
And people are already dead excited to see them out in the wild
Yizzer famous, girls.
So Cabra ladies – invite us over some time, will you?
We’ll bring biscuits.
